Course Description and Objective
This advanced course will focus on addressing collection errors that are often cited with Department of Transportation (DOT) collections. Hundreds of clandestine collections by both private companies and federal agencies have been done, and out of these collections, dozens of errors were found to have taken place. This course is ideal for all experienced collectors. Attendees will be offered suggestions for best practices to avoid or eliminate common mistakes made at collection sites that jeopardize the validity of the drug test collections.
Seminar at a Glance
Each section will allow for discussion of specific scenarios and questions and answers.
Who Should Attend
This training course* is intended for all experienced collectors who have already received training performing DOT specimen collections (including, but not limited to DATIA’s Certified Professional Collector® (CPC) training or Certified Professional Collector Trainer® (CPCT) training). This course will help expand the collector’s knowledge base and help provide solutions to many everyday issues.
Please note that this course does not qualify an individual for certification – attendees must have completed the appropriate certification course.
* For those new to drug and alcohol testing or looking for a primer, DATIA recommends taking the Ins & Outs of Drug & Alcohol Testing online course prior to taking this course. Doing so will provide a primer allowing you to enhance your educational experience during this course.
